I'm hosting the Gundam gathering at Fanime again this year. Relevant threads are here and here. Currently we are discussing the meeting time.

Hi all! For those you going to Anime Expo, I have some important information regarding the Gundam Gathering. In true Gundam fashion, the duty of hosting the gathering has fallen to me (again) and I have created a new thread located here on Cosplay.com. Submissions close on Saturday, and we need a few more people to post in order to be able to submit the gathering to the official list. We also need to decide on a time, so if you plan on attending, we need your input!

Gundam Universe Cosplay Gathering at Fanime!

Day: Saturday
Time: 5:30 PM
MP/L: Fountains in front, Marriott Side (FiF MS)

Please note the time change for the gathering. I have decided to move the gathering back an hour at 5:30pm, due to conflicts with Tohru Furuya's first autograph session. I know that a lot of you who plan on attending the gathering are also planning on attending the Furuya's panel and autograph session, including myself!

I've messaged BSaphire, head of the Cosplay Gatherings department, to let her know. However, I believe that it will be too late to change it on the schedule boards, etc. So if you have any friends planning on coming to the gathering, please notify them and get the word out. Thank you!

In addition to Furuya, voice actor of Amuro Ray and also Gundam 00's Ribbons, the director of Gundam 00, Seiji Mizushima will also be attending.

Due a bit of confusion (or maybe just some stupidity on my part for posting it so early), the Fanime Forum thread is in danger of being closed because no one other than myself has posted in it, and inactive topics are being locked. If you are planning on attending the convention and possibly the gathering, I'd really appreciate it if you could post in either thread (I can update the Fanime forums thread with the info from the Cos.com thread).

I'd really love for there to be a Gundam Gathering at Fanime next year, as it's how I've met other Gundam fans in the past and made some really awesome friends. It's important for the gathering to be considered "official" in order for it to be listed on the signs at the convention. That allows those who don't visit the websites to see it and attend the gathering.

I keep forgetting to post here, so quick, before I forget again!

A while ago, I went to the Abunai! convention at the Koningshof in Almelo, the Netherlands. It was my second time cosplaying an actual character, and I went as my favourite char of all times, Relena Darlian from Gundam Wing! :D

I realize that I never mentioned this here! I am running the Gundam Cosplay Gathering at Anime Expo this Thursday. Here is the information:

I'll be cosplaying as Murrue from Gundam SEED Destiny at the gathering and then changing into Sumeragi from Gundam 00 Season 2 right afterwards. I'm also going to be cosplaying as Mirai from Mobile Suit Gundam and Marida from Gundam Unicorn sometime during the convention. Anyone else going to Fanime and cosplaying from Gundam? :)

Encouraged by mirai_noah's post, I'm thinking this may be a good post to see how many Gundam players are heading to the upcoming conventions this summer (and beyond).

What costumes do you have in mind or are you planning? Also, this could serve as an interest post for convention cosplay groups.

I'm planning on going to A-Kon this year, and for the first time! I'm bringing my Soma's A-Laws cosplay along, but I was also considering working on a CB uniform as well, time permitting. I'm interested in knowing what everyone else is planning, as well.
